The splendor of California Poppies: what a show! At the end of April five fellow painters met at the Visitor Center of the CA Poppy Reserve. The weather was splendid though the wind was stiff. We found an area just east of the Center on Lancaster Road beneath the bluffs. It was a spectacular display this year, unexpected due to the state's continuing drought. 2014
